CAD-based CFD simulation
CAD-based CFD simulation
As a rule, all thermal paths such as heat transfer, convection and thermal radiation are calculated based on a CAD assembly imported to 6SigmaET via STEP data with no prior simplification. Hardware details can be added at the touch of a button via IDF, Gerber, ODB++ and other formats.
Making heat paths visible
As a result of this type of simulation, you can analyse all the surface temperatures on the mechanical systems or electronics hardware.
Component, PCB and other temperatures can be directly exported to Excel.
